Why 12+?
The age limit, explained
Check the rating of the specific Fortnite experience. Epic supports younger players through Cabined Accounts: below 13 or the local age of digital consent, whichever is higher, certain features stay disabled pending parental consent. This is not a blanket 13+ sign-up rule. Voice/free-text chat and real-money purchases are among the restricted features; gift-card balance purchases have separate rules.
