Why 18+ (PEGI)?

The age limit, explained

The UK PEGI rating is 18. ESRB uses a separate North American rating of Mature 17+, with descriptors for violence, sexual content, drugs and language. Ratings and account-age checks are different.

How to start the conversation

  • Explain the PEGI 18 rating and choose an age-appropriate game together.
  • If reviewing an existing account, check in-game session and voice-chat options as well as console purchase restrictions. Invite-only sessions are a game option, not a universal console setting.
